Is this how it begins

Funny, there was a time where you were most concerned about your mom finding your diary and here I find myself putting everything out there for the world to see.

I am private by nature and habit. Not the kind of private that tends to make you think of stacks of newspapers and empty tin cans, but the kind of private that leans toward solitude. So, the idea of just writing what randomly comes to mind is somewhat disconcerting. I used to write a lot, I think that is something that would surprise my children to know..then again maybe it wouldn't. My son has a BA in English with his eye on the large prize of publication, so maybe he got a little of it from me or that might just be wishful thinking. This blog was his idea so if I fail, you know who to blame. It is very possible that my daughter will be mortified at the idea of me doing this, so for that reason I think I have decided to be protective of my family and deliberately stay away from names for the time being.

You will find that most of my post will be family related, because the most joy I have ever found is with my family. I don't think life would be what it is for me with out my children and my fiance and his two children. I don't get people who don't have children, I think because the maternal instinct in me is so strong that I want everyone to share the joy. Through personal experiences though I am starting to learn that not everyone has the need to nurture and it makes me sad. I will get into that later....I can soapbox, and I am not sure that an intro is the best place for that.

You will also find that I can throw down a mean ass meal, my opinions generally are all that matter, I am called quirky and weird by my co-workers, I suck at Guitar Hero, I am so liberal it will stun most but have strong views on the neglect that children in our own country suffer because we ship billions of dollars overseas in aid, my dream would be to live totally organic, I am forty three and dream of having another child because I have had such fun with the two I have, and oh yea...I am tolerant of all intelligent conversation but don't use vulgarity and name calling because I will fold my tent and play somewhere else, I am the biggest Ohio State fan you have ever met and I support our local high school so much that if one of the kids opens an envelope I go to watch. One more thing, my fiance has multiple sclerosis so I can be a fountain of knowledge in that respect as well....ask away. Feel free to point out grammar and punctuation, but generally it isn't done intentionally and I probably don't really care.

I guess the point of this is to get my feet wet and see where this all leads me....I have ideas and now a forum, lets see if I can get people to follow....
